FAQS

Q: How do I register my team?
A: Similar to previous years, we are doing e-transfer registration payments to springringette1@gmail.comOfficial registration is open and can be completed at the Google Form hereWithin this Google Form for registration, you can find details regarding deadlines, submission of rosters, payments, and waiver forms.

Q: What months does Spring Ring take place in?
A: Games will run from April 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026, ice times permitting.

Q: Will we need to supply our own jerseys?
A: Yes, please arrange for your own jerseys. If you do not have your own, no problem! You can find reasonable options at online websites such as Sports Jerseys Canada and Sports Gear Swag for plain or custom jerseys with numbers on the back. Tyleen in Sherwood Park and Athletic Standard can also supply jerseys. For more information on these jersey providers and their prices, please contact them!

Q: What if my team needs subs?
A: Just like in winter league play, any players registered in Spring Ring as full-time or sub-only players can sub for other teams if need be. However, we expect teams needing subs to first consult those on the sublist before asking fully-registered players from other teams. In line with NAWRA and Ringette Alberta rules, when using a sub player, there can only be a maximum of 11 skaters.

Q: Is there a sub-only option for individual players?
A: Yes, players can register as sub-only players for if becoming a full-time registrant is not feasible for them. More information about the sublist and how to register for it will be available closer to the start of the 2026 season.

Q: Where and what days of the week and times will games be played?
A: Games aim to be scheduled across Edmonton and it's surrounding areas (e.g., Sherwood Park and Spruce Grove) between Monday to Thursday, with start times from 7pm onwards. Also, we aim to have ice times end no later than 11pm or 11:30pm.

Q: How are home and away ice times determined?
A: During winter league play, many teams find and secure their own home ice to provide to their association. For Spring Ring, we take that step off teams’ plates, as league coordinators are responsible for securing all ice for the season! Based on overall ice availability and the teams that register, we will do our best to schedule home games in teams’ preferred regions whenever possible. However, this cannot be guaranteed for every game. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility as we work to manage ice and create a balanced schedule for all teams!

Q: How many players can I have on my roster?
A: As put forth by Ringette Alberta, only a maximum of 18 players can be dressed for a game. Therefore, we have decided to cap roster sizes at 18 players, providing teams with enough players for reasonable individual fees and opportunities for those on the sublist to be contacted.
